Ritratto della spezia di origine nordafricana e mediorientale che un tempo era oro per l'isola [...] Il sommaco, noto nel mondo arabo come summaq (significa “rosso scuro”) e altrove come sumac, è una spezia antica che affonda le sue radici nelle rotte mediterranee. Pochi sanno che è una spezia che si produce da secoli in Sicilia, dove fin dall'antichità ha avuto un ruolo economico e culturale di primo piano. Raccolta e trasformata, esportata in grandi quantità, impiegata sia in cucina...
