Contro ogni aspettativa, la sonda che è atterrata sottosopra sulla superficie della Luna funziona ancora nonostante sia priva di qualsiasi contromisura per resistere al gelo della notte lunare ... I più stupiti sono gli stessi ingegneri della JAXA, l'agenzia spaziale del Giappone: la sonda SLIM non è in alcun modo progettata per resistere al buio e al gelo delle due settimane di notte sulla Luna.
