Calato il sipario sull'ultimo mondiale, conclusosi con la vittoria di Nico Rosberg ed il successivo suo annuncio di abbandono delle corse, arriva la notizia di un sicuro ritorno del grande circus della F1 in Francia, a dieci anni dall'ultimo Gran Premio di Magny-Course.

Precisamente il circuito scelto sarà quello del Paul Ricard a Le Castellet, dove non si disputano più gare di questo tipo dal 1990, ma che adeguato negli anni, si pensa possa essere pronto per la stagione 2018 e le 4 seguenti.
